Attorney Belanger knew my needs and my priorities and focused on what was important to me. She was with me every step of the way no matter the day. She always got back to me in a timely manner. In difficult times, it is important to have someone in your corner who is looking out for your best interests - when you are so involved in the situation that you can not judge for yourself what your best interests are. My divorce was long, complicated and difficult to get through... but I firmly believe that with any other attorney representing the interests of my daughter and myself, the outcome would not have been as favorable or centered on my family as it was. I would highly recommend attorney Belanger and the wonderful team at her office to anyone who needs an effective, compassionate and professional attorney.

Brandie joined the Firm as an associate in 2009 and focuses primarily on family law matters. In her first full year with the Firm, Brandie has successfully tried custody trials, including relocation hearings, while handling a number of other matters in Monroe and the surrounding counties. Brandie is extending the Firm’s legal practice into the field of criminal law as well as wills, trusts, and estates.
After law school, Brandie began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jonathan Mark, of the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. As a judicial law clerk Brandie was exposed to a variety of legal issues and proceedings, including juvenile court matters as well as civil and criminal proceedings.
As a former court appointed Domestic Relations Advocate in Monroe County, Brandie is well-versed in the law for collecting and enforcing child and spousal support. She frequently appears before the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas as a Guardian Ad Litem for children in dependency proceedings on a regular basis, helping to make sure the county’s children are protected from abuse and neglect, while also ensuring the children are not removed from their homes unnecessarily.
Over the past several years, Brandie served as an instructor for the National Business Institute’s continuing legal education seminars on family law related topics. She also assisted with drafting the written materials for the programs.
Prior to attending law school, Brandie lived in areas of Upstate New York, North Carolina and Okinawa, Japan. While living in North Carolina, Brandie volunteered as a mentor for Lifestyle Insights Networking Knowledge Skills (L.I.N.K.S.), at United States Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. As a mentor for L.I.N.K.S., Brandie educated hundreds of Marine Corps spouses regarding the history and culture of the United States Marine Corps and other topics related to military life.
During her three years living in Okinawa, Japan, Brandie worked as an assistant language teacher (ALT) at Gushikawa Junior High School. As an ALT, Brandie taught English to junior high school students. Her time as an ALT in Japan gave Brandie the opportunity to be submersed in the Okinawan culture and become a part of the community.
Brandie received her law degree from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law and her bachelor of arts in history from Buffalo State College. She serves on the board of directors for the Pocono Family YMCA.
