✅ Accurate profile (2 sources)
Practice area: Patent application, Intellectual property, Trademark application
We have worked with Mr. Hurt for all of our intellectual property needs for over 4 years and have been very pleased with his counsel and services. When Mr. Hurt merged his practice with Tuggle Duggins, we switched all of our other legal needs to Tuggle Duggins. This decision was based upon the level of professionalism and thoroughness of Mr. Hurt’s due diligence over the years preceding this merger. Mr. Hurt is an outstanding attorney working in an exceptional law firm at Tuggle Duggins. I have referred both Mr. Hurt and Tuggle Duggins on numerous occasions and will continue to do so.
I've had the privilege of knowing Blake since law school and further since his professional practice began. I've referred several clients to Mr. Hurt for professional services in intellectual property law, specifically around trademarks and copyright, and every single client has had nothing but excellent reviews for the service and professionalism they received working with him. I highly recommend him for any IP law needs, and will continue to send my own clients to him whenever they have needs in his area of law.
I worked with Blake on several patent projects. He thinks strategically and implements legal strategies with precision and clarity. Blake is also very personable and gives great attention to detail. I would happily recommend him to anyone in need of patent prosecution or opinion work.
To whom it may concern: I've known Blake Hurt for over four years. Most recently, from 2006-2008, Blake served as the manager of Dr. Shaomeng Wang's cancer research laboratory of which I am a member. Blake was responsible for numerous tasks including but not limited to laboratory safety, ordering of chemicals and materials, creating and maintaining our chemical inventory, and administrative duties. Since our laboratory is one of the largest on the University of Michigan campus with nearly thirty researchers, these tasks required excellent organizational and communication skills as well as careful attention to detail in order to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory. In executing all of his tasks, Blake operated with the highest level of efficiency, something which is rarely seen in today's working environment. Furthermore, he was always punctual and extremely professional and courteous in dealing with laboratory personnel and commercial vendors. Blake was also outgoing and eager to learn new skills and take on new tasks. He completed more than the amount of University training required for his job including training for Biosafety Level 2 work with lentivirus (retrovirus used for research purposes). Blake also attended countless lectures at the University of Michigan Medical School and Hospital presented by world-class doctors and researchers from both the University of Michigan and from outside institutions. I can easily say, without a doubt, that Blake was the best laboratory manager we have ever had. He was a tremendous asset to our lab and has been greatly missed since his departure. His huge personality and charisma made the day that much more enjoyable and any institution or employer will certainly benefit greatly from Blake's presence.
I am a United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)-registered patent and trademark attorney who has significant experience working with clients in various arenas to strengthen, protect, and enforce their valuable intellectual property.
