When we set out to form a 501(c)3, it was supposed to be a 6 months process at the most. However, the IRS was challenged by our novel approaches. We received a constant barrage of requests, objections, and inquiries, but none of them hit us because of Arthur. With his expertise he guided and educated the IRS, effectively challenged objections, drew analogies, and wore their defenses down. Without him, we would not be able to celebrate. Two thumbs up and five stars for Arthur.
Arthur is the most honest lawyer I've ever met or worked with. Not only did he do great work for us, he gave great advice focused on the bigger picture instead of just making money. He led us in the right direction and helped us make the most important decisions. I'd work with Arthur any day.
Arthur is the person I first turn to with any question about nonprofit organizations, from startup of an exempt organizaton, to complicated board governance issues. Due to his exclusive focus on nonprofits he has advised on a number of nonprofit mergers and other entity-level transactions, as well as complex excise tax reporting issues and agency audits. I have yet to pose a question to him regarding nonprofits that he has not answered quickly and thoroughly. He's an invaluable resource for the Los Angeles nonprofit community.
Arthur and LFNP are the only (and best) attorneys I know who specialize in non-profit law. Before finding Arthur, my non-profit clients would use pro-bono attorneys to do their legal work, or friends of friends who offered discounted rates, which was very nice but they didn't know anything about the specific legal needs of non-profits. Arthur knows his stuff inside and nout, is great to work with, and is worth every penny!!
Arthur is one of the rare professionals who take the time to not only provide you with a service, but to go beyond the expectation and ensure your continued success from the results of his work.
We have relied on Arthur's expertise on couple of occasions to help us get the paperwork together for starting up a nonprofit organization. His service was excellent, we received IRS approval in days. I highly recommend Arthur for any group looking to start a nonprofit organization.
Arthur Rieman realized at a young age that he had a passion for helping others. During his wide-ranging career, Arthur has served as a corporate lawyer with multinational firms, as a plaintiff's employment and civil rights attorney, and as general counsel for a leader in the infomercial industry.
