Ari Cohn

Ari Cohn is the managing attorney at The Cohn Law Firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. His focus is on family law--Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Alimony, Grandparents' rights, and similar issues. Ari has helped a great many clients overcome thorny family law problems. He's helped people reach voluntary agreements so that they can move on with their lives; and he's handled hotly contested litigation, which calls for fighting with tooth and nail. Either way, Ari is no stranger to the courtroom.
Ari is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He has lived in Arizona for more than a decade, and was admitted to the State Bar in April 2015. In law school, Ari was chosen to serve as an editor on the Law Review. He also received a CALI Award for being at the top of his class in legal research and writing, and was admitted to the Dean's List for each semester he attended. Ari managed to maintain his Merit Scholarship for the duration of his time in law school by keeping a high GPA.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Ari earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and then went to work his way across the country as a newspaper reporter. Ari's writing won him awards from the California Newspaper Publishers' Association and the Arizona Newspaper Association. Ultimately, Ari found himself as the lead daytime national news producer for Clear Channel Communication's in-house news wire, managing a stable of reporters and editors. He has been an on-air news analyst on both radio and television. In 2010, he served as Press Secretary on an election campaign for Arizona governor. He's also been a guest lecturer for college journalism classes, and once was invited to be a judge in a downtown Chandler barbecue contest (an appointment he'd accept again, happily).
