My husband and I decided to file marriage based adjustment of status on our own since our case was pretty simple. When the interview got scheduled, we started to get nervous. I contacted many lawyers in the area just so I can get information on what to expect. However I was shocked to be told that most lawyers wanted 1000 or more for the service saying that they will need to review everything. Andrew was the only one who understood what I needed took the time to listen to our case gave me the advice I need.

About

I am a reasonable fee/low-bono community immigration attorney. My main office is in San Rafael and I share my time between this and my two outpost offices, in Oakland (2 mins from Amtrak Jack London Square) and in Palo Alto - on S. California.
I am also the immigration attorney for a local nonprofit - the Brazilian Alliance.I keep my private fees low - the same as the non-profit - since i can't compete with myself. And because I get all the nice clients that way.
I limit immigration court work to asylum cases and children, so I don't compete directly with my wonderful colleagues dedicated to removal defense.

Also, if you are here through the employment route, your lawyers represent your employer, and you might find it helpful to discuss questions with an independent attorney. Particularly one with a long career in business before becoming an attorney.
