Alyssa did a great job in my divorce proceeding... Always professional, knowledgeable and kind. She laid out all possible scenarios in a concise manner and guided the process in a timely manner.
Several years ago I had the unfortunate task of looking for a divorce attorney, it was something that I never thought I would do.... I was lost, I was scared and did not know what to do... I had my two beautiful daughters in the middle of all this and after 19 years of marriage.. everything crumbled. I went to many different attorneys and they didn't feel right to me. Within minutes of talking to Alyssa, it felt right and she immediately dove in becoming my 900 lb gorilla. Her attention to detail, her passion, her diligence and tenacity is unreal...and I'm a Chef, so that is omnipotent for me. Her unwavering persistent focus on my case left many of my friends and relatives amazed since their past experiences with attorneys never came close to what she was doing. Her constantly willing to answer my 7 gazillion questions, did put me at ease and I did call alot, many times after crying and staring at the wall. What can I say, I was scared, lost and alone in something I thought would never ever happened. She always took the time to be upfront, honest, and compassionate of what is to come. In court, it's normal to say that one would be nervous, but having her by my side ...I felt safe. As a Dad you always try to be the protector to your kids...Alyssa became our protector and made sure to protect my best interests. A funny story about my Father...he is one not to smile very often, let alone talk much... but when everything was done...He had the biggest grin on his face, all teeth were on display and told and bragged to everyone that Alyssa was the only reason his granddaughters were eating Thanksgiving with him. She has since become a close respected family member in both of my families...personal and military, and greatly admired by me, and my girls....We don't consider her a friend, she became part of our family, that's how strong the impact she had. She will always be an advisor, a friend, my hero and my 900 lb Gorilla. Would I recommend her???...I trust only 2 women in my life..My Mom and Alyssa.
I had the honor of working with Alyssa at a previous law firm. She is an extremely hard-working attorney and has valuable experience beyond her years. She is a confident, knowledgeable advocate who works hard to ensure she obtains the best results for her clients.
Following my graduation from law school in 2008, I commenced a clerkship for the Honorable Thomas L. Weisenbeck, former presiding Judge of the Family part in Morris County. At the conclusion of my clerkship in 2009, I have worked exclusively in the area of Family and Matrimonial law. I represent clients in all areas of this practice, including custody, divorce, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, post judgment applications, modification, enforcement, arbitration, mediation and appeals. I am a member of the New York and New Jersey State bars.
I am also involved outside my practice at Ruvolo Law Group. I am a trustee of the Morris County Bar Association and volunteer my time as a panelist for the Early Settlement Panel in Morris County. I have also spoken and lectured at various legal programs and volunteer my time in the community. I have been selected for inclusion in the "New Jersey Super Lawyers-Rising Star" list by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2013 and 2018. As cliche as it sounds, I truly enjoy working as a family law attorney and I believe this is reflected in my everyday practice.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading books.
